Chantey Sing

Singing sea chanteys on board the SS VIRGINIA V is one of life’s great pleasures! This wonderful group organized by the Northwest Seaport will charm you with their enthusiasm and knowledge. At this chantey, Matthew Moeller returns as the song leader. Captain Matt is a long-time Puget Sound chanteyman who writes great songs about Washington maritime lore ranging from salt horse, to the legendary ferry The Flyer, and to the lowly geoduck.

Free to attend, donations requested.

Dockside

For most of the year, the S.S. Virginia V is docked on the southern bank of Lake Union. Our home port is easy to find behind the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) just past the antique steam clock.
